Jaipur Rugs flagship store

This was a design and build competition for the new Jaipur Rugs Flagship Store in India that celebrates the heritage, craftsmanship and exclusivity of handwoven luxury rugs. The competition's judging criteria focused on four key areas: creativity and innovation of design, brand alignment, functionality and feasibility.

The brief asked for the proposal to be conceived around the Manchaha collection, a body of one-of-a-kind rugs created by weavers as an expression of their own imagination. Jaipur Rugs describes Manchaha as a project where craft, authorship and social impact converge, with each rug emerging spontaneously on the loom and carrying the emotional imprint of its maker.

The design responded to this spirit by imagining the store as an immersive and emotionally charged experience.
